Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to oversee the design of high voltage infrastructure projects and support EPC proposals. The role requires extensive experience in high voltage substation or transmission line projects and a strong engineering background.

You will lead design teams, engage with external customers, and ensure regulatory compliance while keeping projects on time and within budget. Travel is possible as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12+ years’ experience in the electric utility industry performing detailed engineering for high voltage substation or transmission line projects.
• ABET-accredited university degree in Engineering (B.S. or graduate).
• P.E. license required.
• Strong technical expertise in structural, civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering with a broad understanding of engineering principles and practices.
• Knowledge of electric utility engineering and construction standards.
• Experience with industry codes and standards (ANSI, IEEE, NEC, etc.).
• Ability to work with external customers and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee projects from inception to completion, including planning, design, permitting, construction support, and closeout.
• Review engineering calculations, drawings, and specifications for substations or transmission lines.
• Ensure projects stay on budget and schedule with cost-effective solutions.
• Verify compliance with regulations and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with government agencies, Contractors, and stakeholders for successful delivery.
• Maintain quality control and engineering documentation.
