Job summary

Withum is a national accounting and advisory firm seeking a High Net Worth Tax Manager to lead tax engagements from our offices across LA, SF, NJ and NYC. You will supervise staff, mentor teammates, and develop strong client relationships while guiding complex tax planning across international and US tax needs.

The role emphasizes managing multiple engagements, delivering accurate tax reporting, and providing strategic guidance to clients with high net worth interests.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required.
• CPA license, JD or MS in Taxation required.
• At least 5 years of prior tax experience in public accounting; experience leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication abilities; ability to build client relationships.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and presentation abilities; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of tax engagements from planning to completion.
• Supervise staff and mentor junior team members.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients for ongoing service.
• Research complex tax issues and draft memoranda.
• Identify and execute tax planning opportunities and resolve tax controversies.
• Manage multiple engagements concurrently to meet deadlines.
• Provide instruction or leadership in professional development activities.
