Job summary

Withum is seeking a High Net Worth Tax Manager to lead tax engagements across numerous offices, including New Jersey and California. You will supervise staff, develop client relationships, and deliver strategic tax planning for sophisticated clients.

You will work with an integrated team of CPAs and industry leaders, driving accuracy, timely reporting, and quality client service while mentoring junior staff and contributing to the firm’s growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license, JD or Masters of Science in Taxation required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a public accounting tax department with leadership of multiple engagements.
• Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
• Exceptional client service and communication skills with relationships.
• Ability to travel as needed.
• Strong leadership, training and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead all aspects of tax engagements for high net worth clients.
• Supervise staff and mentor junior team members.
• Review returns for accuracy and quality control.
• Research complex tax matters and draft memoranda.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and client opportunities.
• Manage multiple engagements and meet client deadlines.
• Provide counsel and conduct team discussions on evaluations.
