Rolls-Royce Corporation is seeking a Specialist in High Integrity Software to join a hybrid team in Indianapolis, IN or Reston, VA. You will own control system functions, guide junior engineers, and collaborate across disciplines to meet safety-critical requirements.

The role emphasizes model-based systems, Matlab/Simulink, and SysML in a global engineering context, with up to 20% travel and relocation support where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years product development experience.
• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years experience.
• PhD in related field is eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to develop electrical, electronics and mechatronics control system requirements and verifications for safety-critical applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to maintain high standards of technical capability and teamwork.
• Provide guidance, training, and documentation; review engineering work products for quality and completeness.
• Travel up to 10% between Rolls-Royce sites and up to 10% other travel.
