Job summary

Rolls-Royce is seeking a Senior Control System Engineer to own selected control system functions and interfaces across development programs. The role demands an adaptive mindset and the ability to drive technical outcomes while mentoring a small team of engineers within a global organization.

You will travel up to 10% between Rolls-Royce sites and up to 10% for other work, contributing to safety-critical control system design, analysis, and model-based development with MATLAB/Simulink and SysML

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering; 5+ years product development engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering; 3+ years of product development engineering experience.
• PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams and customers to develop control system requirements and verification work products for safety-critical applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to set high standards of technical capability and teamwork.
• Provide engineering guidance, training, and documentation; mentor junior engineers.
• Review engineering work products for quality and completeness.
• Resolve complex problems using technical experience and knowledge.
• Develop and communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
