Job summary

Rolls-Royce plc is seeking a Senior Control System Engineer to own and develop critical control system functions across aerospace programs. You will guide a small engineering team, apply model-based methods, and collaborate with global experts to deliver safe, compliant solutions.

You will travel up to 10% between sites and possibly other locations, mentoring juniors and contributing to full life cycle development in a hybrid work setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 5+ years of product development engineering experience.
• Master’s degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering with 3+ years of product development engineering experience.
• PhD in Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to develop control system requirements, design and verification for safety-critical applications.
• Work with cross-functional teams to uphold high standards of technical capability and teamwork.
• Provide and support engineering guidance, training and documentation.
• Review engineering work for quality and completeness.
• Resolve complex problems using technical experience and knowledge.
• Develop and communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
