Job summary

Truist is seeking a senior relationship manager in Birmingham to drive growth for Hospital, Higher Education & Government banking clients. You will lead cross-functional teams with Public Finance, Industry Consultants, Wholesale Payments, Credit Delivery, Wealth and Risk to deliver a differentiated client experience and meet loan, deposit, and fee-based revenue targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education and related training.
• >8 years of experience in financial services, preferably with Hospitals, Higher Education & Government clients.
• Strong command of credit and finance.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent negotiation skills.
• Proficient in managing large and complex corporate relationships; knowledgeable in complex credit products and structuring, including loan syndication and participations.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a marketing plan focused on growing new relationships and expanding existing client relationships in the Hospitals, Higher Education & Government segment. Meet loan, deposit, and fee-based revenue targets.
• Deliver a differentiated client experience in all interactions with clients and centers of influence using Financial Insights and strategic advisory tools.
• Develop new business client relationships and grow market share of business loans and non-credit services; collaborate with Line of Business partners to execute growth strategies.
• Ensure profitability, quality, liquidity, and growth of the portfolio; manage credit relationships, documentation, compliance, and closings; monitor portfolio health.
• Maintain and update sales activity, pipeline, and client data in CRM.
• Execute on risk, operational, policy and quality expectations for the client portfolio.
