Job summary

Lockheed Martin in Stratford, CT, is seeking a Propulsion Design Engineer to develop data, layouts and detailed designs for helicopter propulsion systems across the lifecycle. You will contribute to proposals, support through design reviews, and work with a multi-disciplinary team.

Responsibilities include CAD modelling in CATIA V5 and 3DX/V6, presenting design proposals, and supporting suppliers and customers with occasional travel to build and test activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• More than 5 years of technical background in aircraft design.
• Experience in 3D CAD modelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop basic data, preliminary design layouts and detail design for propulsion systems.
• Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team through the product lifecycle.
• Prepare layouts and drawings using CATIA V5 and/or 3Dx/V6.
• Occasional travel to support suppliers, customer meetings and reviews, as well as aircraft build support and test.
