Job summary

Hawthorne Cat in Waipahu, Hawaii seeks a Tech 3 to perform skilled repairs, reconditioning, testing and adjustments on Caterpillar equipment. Reports to the Service Manager; division HPC, department Service, non-exempt status.

Essential: high school diploma, valid driver’s license, PC skills, ownership of hand tools, and forklift certification or ability to certify within 60 days. 8+ years' experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
• PC skills.
• Forklift certification or able to certify within 60 days.
• Own hand tools suitable to perform the work.
• At least 8 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair, recondition, test and adjust equipment sold by Hawthorne.
• Remove, install and adjust engines and associated components.
• Perform diagnostic tests on engines, powertrain, and hydraulic systems.
• Meet flat rate targets set by Caterpillar and industry standards.
• Contribute to team effort as needed.
