Job summary

Hawthorne Cat in Hilo, Hawaii is seeking a skilled Tech 2 to perform high-level repair, reconditioning, testing, and adjustment of equipment sold by Hawthorne. You will diagnose engines, powertrains, and hydraulic systems, perform complex repairs, and meet flat-rate standards.

The role requires a high school diploma, a valid driver’s license, PC skills, and hand tools, with forklift certification or the ability to obtain it within 60 days. Five years’ experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Must have PC skills.
• Forklift certification or ability to certify within 60 days.
• Must own hand tools suitable for the work.
• At least 5 years of experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Repair, recondition, test, and adjust Hawthorne equipment.
• Diagnose engines, powertrain, and hydraulic systems.
• Perform engine and components repairs and adjustments.
• Meet flat-rate expectations per Caterpillar and industry standards.
• Contribute to team effort by achieving related results.
