Job summary

HOLT CAT in Little Elm, TX is seeking an experienced Shop Service Technician for heavy construction equipment. The role focuses on high-quality repair in a shop setting, troubleshooting dozers, excavators and loaders, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

The incumbent will diagnose, disassemble/assemble to manufacturer specs, and mentor others. Ideal candidates have 7+ years of diesel repair experience, proficiency with CAT ET and CAT SIS, and strong knowledge of hydraulic

Qualifications

• Seven or more years of diesel-powered heavy equipment repair experience preferred.
• Reading schematics/diagrams experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduation from a diesel technology program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment malfunctions and failures.
• Disassembles and assembles machine components to manufacturer specifications.
• Rebuilds, repairs, reconditions, and maintains equipment and components.
• Plans and controls cost of repair jobs.
• Completes parts orders and identifies parts for return.
• Provides mentoring and training to others.
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and documents repairs promptly.
