Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee day-to-day field operations on heavy civil infrastructure projects in New Jersey. You will supervise field crews, coordinate with project managers, and ensure work is performed to plans, on schedule and within safety standards.

A minimum of 10 years of field supervision in heavy civil construction, OSHA 30, and ability to read drawings are required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field supervision in heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of means and methods for structures, roadways, or utilities.
• OSHA 30 certification required.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Direct and supervise field crews, equipment, and subcontractors on-site.
• Coordinate daily work plans with the Project Manager and project engineers.
• Enforce jobsite safety programs and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Monitor productivity, quality control, and adherence to plans and specifications.
• Coordinate material and equipment deliveries to keep work on schedule.
• Lead daily toolbox talks and safety meetings.
