Job summary

MPI is seeking a seasoned Superintendent to oversee field operations for environmental and civil construction projects across New Jersey. You will lead crews, supervise subcontractors, manage schedules, and enforce safety standards on site, serving as the primary on-site liaison for clients and stakeholders.

The role requires extensive field leadership in excavation, remediation, utilities, site development, and infrastructure, with a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of superintendent experience in civil construction/environmental remediation.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and construction safety best practices.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites across New Jersey.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily field activities on environmental and civil construction projects.
• Coordinate and supervise crews, subcontractors, vendors, and equipment.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and ensure milestones are achieved.
• Enforce safety policies and ensure OSHA and project-specific compliance.
• Conduct site inspections, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.
• Coordinate work with project managers, engineers, owners, and regulators.
• Monitor labor productivity, equipment utilization, and project costs.
• Review project plans, permits, and contract documents.
• Track quantities, field reports, and daily logs.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize delays.
• Ensure quality control throughout execution.
• Participate in project meetings and provide progress updates.
