Job summary

Metric Geo is seeking an experienced Superintendent to manage civil site development projects, lead day-to-day field operations, and coordinate crews, subcontractors, equipment, and materials. You will read civil plans, ensure safety, and collaborate with the PM/engineers to keep projects on schedule.

Travel across the Northeast and DMV regions will be required to support multiple sites. The role emphasizes safety, quality, productivity, and timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• 7–12+ years of civil construction experience.
• Experience as Superintendent/Foreman ready to step up.
• Strong hands-on experience with earthwork, grading, excavation, and underground utilities.
• Experience on industrial, residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret civil plans, grading plans, utility plans, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day field operations on civil site development projects.
• Manage and coordinate crews, foremen, subcontractors, equipment, and materials.
• Plan and sequence work to keep production moving and minimize downtime.
• Work with PM and engineers to maintain project schedules.
• Oversee earthwork, mass excavation, grading, utility installation, drainage, and sitework.
• Coordinate installation of stormwater, sanitary sewer, water, and other underground utilities.
• Read and interpret civil drawings and specifications.
• Monitor production, manpower, equipment, materials, and quantities.
• Coordinate with surveyors, inspectors, engineers, subcontractors, and utility companies.
• Identify field issues early and resolve with the project team.
• Develop short-term look-ahead schedules and daily reports.
