Independence Excavating, Inc. in Dayton, OH is seeking a Heavy Civil Project Manager to lead large-scale construction projects, overseeing budgets, schedules, submittals, RFIs, and contracts while maintaining strong owner relations and safety standards.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will coordinate with superintendents, subcontractors, and suppliers, assemble cost codes, review invoices, and ensure profit margins. Travel up to 25% may be required.

Competenze

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate or Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of experience managing large commercial construction projects.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task across tasks.
• Ability to develop positive relationships with owners, project engineers, and local government.
• Experience in take-offs and estimating; ability to handle multiple sites.

Mansioni

• Prepare, review, and return submittals for items to be manufactured or provided.
• Work with Superintendent/Operations Manager to determine equipment and crew needs.
• Assemble job cost codes and regularly update them.
• Coordinate subcontractors and material deliveries on major items.
• Review subcontractor and supplier estimates and invoices.
• Negotiate, close, and coordinate all Extra Work Orders and CORs.
• Monitor production, resource utilization and overall job cost vs estimated cost.
