Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer (MUMPS) for remote work supporting Veterans Affairs (VA). The role emphasizes testing, QA leadership, and healthcare/government regulatory compliance, with a focus on MUMPS/Cache environments.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in software testing/QA, experience with VistA/FileMan, HL7/FHIR, and EDI transactions, and can mentor junior testers while coordinating cross-functional teams in a remote setting.

Formación

• Experience in healthcare/government or regulated environments.
• Experience testing enterprise applications in healthcare operations.
• Testing MUMPS and InterSystems Cache applications.
• Developing detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.
• Experience functional, regression, integration, UAT testing.
• Understanding SDLC and testing methodologies.
• Knowledge of HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI transactions.
• Experience with VistA environments.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsabilidades

• Support testing and QA activities for mission-critical healthcare applications in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments.
• Support modernization efforts, system enhancements, interoperability initiatives, and production support for legacy systems.
• Develop and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures for healthcare apps in MUMPS/Cache.
• Validate software enhancements, maintenance releases, defects, and upgrades.
• Support functional, integration, regression, UAT, system, and end-to-end testing.
• Verify data integrity across legacy health apps, databases, interfaces and external systems.
• Test HL7, FHIR, EDI and related healthcare interoperability transactions.
• Participate in Beta/IOC testing with facilities and end users, document results, coordinate fixes.
• Analyze and troubleshoot defects, integration failures, and production incidents.
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, product owners, and users to validate requirements and tests.
• Develop test data and environments for healthcare workflows.
• Execute manual and automated testing where applicable.
• Track and report testing metrics, defects, risks, and status.
• Validate integrations involving VistA, FileMan, and external partners.
• Support root cause analysis and verification of fixes.
• Review requirements to ensure testability and coverage.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing processes and standards.
• Provide technical leadership on testing strategies for healthcare/government systems.
