Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) is seeking a talented Full Stack Developer (MUMPS) for a remote role supporting Veterans Affairs with a focus on testing and quality assurance for healthcare applications built on MUMPS/InterSystems Cache.

This 100% U.S.-based remote position requires a seasoned tester with experience in HL7, FHIR, HIPAA EDI, and VistA/FileMan environments, plus strong leadership in testing strategies and mentoring junior testers.

Qualifications

Experience in healthcare, government, or other highly regulated environments.
Experience testing enterprise applications supporting clinical, benefits, or healthcare operations.
Experience supporting legacy applications and long-lived mission-critical systems.
Experience testing applications developed using MUMPS and/or InterSystems Cache.
Experience validating healthcare business workflows and system functionality.
Experience developing detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.

Responsibilities

Support testing and quality assurance activities for mission-critical healthcare apps in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache.
Support modernization, system enhancements, interoperability, and production support for legacy systems.
Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures.
Validate software enhancements, maintenance releases, defects, and upgrades.
Conduct functional, integration, regression, UAT, system, and end-to-end testing.
