Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a talented Full Stack Developer (MUMPS) to support mission-critical healthcare applications in a remote capacity for Veterans Affairs work.

This 100% U.S.-based, W-2 role requires 10+ years of software testing and QA experience, along with expertise in MUMPS/InterSystems Cache, HL7/FHIR, and EDI workflows. U.S. Citizenship and Public Trust (MBI) clearance are required; the team collaborates across departments to ensure quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software testing, QA, or system validation experience.
• Experience testing healthcare applications and VistA/FileMan environments is preferred.
• Citizenship and security clearance requirements are stated in the posting.
• Experience with HL7, FHIR, and EDI transactions is highly desirable.
• Experience with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA/Azure DevOps/HP ALM/TestRail).

Responsibilities

• Support testing and QA activities for healthcare applications in a MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environment.
• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for healthcare systems.
• Validate software enhancements, maintenance releases, and system upgrades.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate requirements and test objectives.
• Develop test data and environments supporting healthcare workflows and processes.
• Lead testing efforts and mentor junior testers.
