Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a talented Full Stack Developer (MUMPS) for a 100% remote role supporting Veterans Affairs. The position requires public trust clearance and 10+ years in software testing/validation, with deep MUMPS/Cache experience and healthcare domain knowledge.

You will lead testing efforts, design test strategies, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure quality across legacy and modern healthcare systems, including VistA/FileMan interfaces.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, government, or other regulated environments.
• Experience testing enterprise healthcare applications and legacy systems.
• Experience testing MUMPS/InterSystems Cache environments.
• Ability to develop detailed test plans, scenarios, scripts, and cases.
• Experience functional, regression, integration, system, and UAT testing.

Responsibilities

• Support QA testing for mission-critical healthcare apps in MUMPS/Cache.
• Modernize systems, enhancements, and interoperability initiatives.
• Create and execute test plans, cases, scripts, and procedures.
• Validate fixes, upgrades, and data integrity across systems.
• Lead testing efforts and mentor junior testers.
• Collaborate with developers, BA, and end users on test objectives.
• Develop test data and environments for healthcare workflows.
• Execute manual and automated testing where applicable.
• Track defects, metrics, and status reports.
