Job summary

Centene Corporation in the United States is seeking a senior project manager to lead end-to-end platform implementations that improve utilization management, prior authorization, and clinical workflows.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and engage with executives while driving project delivery and governance across the enterprise. A strong background in healthcare payer technology and large-scale programs is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of project management experience with departmental specific projects.
• Previous experience as a lead in a functional area, managing cross functional teams on large scale projects or supervisory experience.
• Proficient with MS-Office applications. Healthcare and managed care experience preferred. Understanding of Agile methodology is preferred.
• Experience with payer core platforms, UM/CM, clinical workflow or other major healthcare platforms highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, monitor, oversee end-to-end execution, and delivery of platform implementations.
• Manage the full project life cycle, including review of sources to assess requirements, creation of project plans and schedules, obtaining resources, managing budget, and facilitating execution, deployment and closure.
• Utilize standard project management tools and establish corporate methodology and procedures.
• Communicate project status to all stakeholders and external agencies.
• Negotiate with stakeholders to identify resources, resolve issues, and mitigate risks.
• Coordinate cross-functional meetings to meet expectations and company objectives.
• Provide functional and technical knowledge across multiple business and technical areas.
• Manage creation of all project deliverables to ensure adherence to quality standards.
