Job summary

Network ESC International is recruiting a Senior Healthcare IT Program Manager – Clinical Communications for a major Virginia medical facility. The role oversees a complex deployment across IT, nursing, Epic, and vendors, owning the integrated program plan and go-live readiness.

You will lead governance, stakeholder communications, and vendor accountability, coordinating with Epic, Zebra, Connexall, and other teams to ensure successful patient-care implementations and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years IT project/program mgmt experience, incl 4+ years in healthcare.
  • Direct experience managing clinical communications technology programs.
  • Experience leading multi-workstream, multi-vendor healthcare programs.
  • Experience with large-scale clinical device deployments.
  • Strong stakeholder mgmt across IT, nursing, clinical informatics, compliance, and executive leadership.
  • Working knowledge of clinical communications, middleware, alarm routing, nurse call, VoIP, and clinical mobile devices.
  • Familiarity with Epic clinical workflows and clinical alert/alarm integrations.

Responsibilities

  • Own the integrated program plan, including milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, decisions, actions, and changes.
  • Lead Executive Steering Committee meetings, executive reporting, and program communications.
  • Coordinate weekly IT, project team, and vendor meetings and bi-weekly clinical readiness meetings.
  • Manage formal change control, including impact assessment, approvals, documentation, and communication.
  • Partner with nursing leadership, clinical informatics, educators, and super users on deployment readiness, training, devices, staffing, and go-live.
  • Coordinate Epic, Zebra, Connexall, and other implementation teams on workflows, integrations, devices, and readiness.
  • Manage vendor deliverables, timelines, commitments, and escalations.
  • Coordinate InfoSec, Compliance, HIPAA, patient data, and regulatory reviews.
  • Drive issue resolution and ensure successful implementation in active patient-care environments.

Senior Healthcare IT Program Manager – Clinical Communications

Position Summary

The Senior Healthcare IT Program Manager will lead a complex clinical communications and technology deployment across IT, nursing, clinical operations, Epic, vendors, security, and compliance. This role owns the integrated program plan, governance, stakeholder communication, vendor accountability, and clinical go-live readiness.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Intune and enterprise wireless requirements.


  • Understanding of Epic clinical workflows and clinical alert/alarm integrations.


  • Experience with healthcare governance, InfoSec, HIPAA, and regulatory processes.



Preferred


  • Experience with Zebra Technologies, Connexall, Epic implementations, or similar clinical communications platforms.


  • Experience with hospital-wide technology deployments and clinical go-lives.



Education

Bachelor's degree in IT, Healthcare Informatics, Business, or a related field.
