Job summary

Allegheny Health Network seeks a Financial Analyst to perform broad project tasks and act as a financial and operational liaison across operations and regulatory bodies. You will analyze financial results, trends, and performance metrics to support business decisions.

You will develop budgeting processes, perform variance analysis, and contribute to monthly close and reporting for programs funded by various partners. Collaboration with teams and adherence to GAAP are essential.

Qualifications

• BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years’ financial analysis experience.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet applications and database management.
• Master's Degree or equivalent experience.
• CPA, CMA, FHFMA, CHFMA or CRA.
• Sponsored program administration.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and apply complex federal regulations and policy.

Responsibilities

• Record, classify and summarize contractual transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Develop and/ or maintain processes and perform complex calculations for budgets and statements.
• Provide budgeting, revenue recognition, reimbursement education and correlate Revenue/Expense to volumes.
• Evaluate, update and maintain processes for regulatory and third party changes, audits and cost reporting.
• Perform variance analysis against budget, forecast, prior periods and benchmarks.
• Monitor issues impacting healthcare/payor regulations and communicate impacts; recommend improvements.
• Analyze contractual or financial results to support decisions; recommend adjustments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

BA/BS Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field

Master's Degree or equivalent experience

CPA, CMA, FHFMA, CHFMA or CRA

Sponsored program administration
