Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a senior Facilities Project Manager to oversee planning, design and construction of capital facilities projects. You will interact with medical center leadership, manage budgets and timelines, and coordinate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure projects meet standards and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years of related work experience required.
• 15–20 years of construction management experience acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in construction project management across planning, design, construction, start-up and closeout.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Project; advanced MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual design with facilities team and management to assess feasibility and budget.
• Lead program planning, budget assumptions, and initial space planning/fit testing/schematic layout.
• Create a comprehensive Project Charter and construction timeline.
• Review design through construction documents to ensure adherence to standards, scope and budget.
• Manage design consultants, contractors and vendors to align with project scope and timeline.
• Oversee budget, change orders, and cost reconciliation at project end.
• Ensure inspections and compliance with building codes and safety measures.
• Coordinate across campuses on equipment and space readiness.
• Lead staff education on construction impacts and safety concerns.
• Collaborate with Program Controls Group on change orders and bid evaluations.
