Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10 years related work experience required.
• 15–20 years of construction management acceptable in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with construction project management across all phases from planning to closeout.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Project; advanced MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop conceptual design with facilities team and senior management for feasibility and budget.
• Lead program planning, budgeting assumptions and schematic layout with stakeholders.
• Create a comprehensive project charter and construction timeline.
• Review design through shop drawings to ensure alignment with standards and budget.
• Manage design consultants, contractors, and vendors; coordinate with architect/engineers.
• Oversee budget and schedule impacts of change orders and requests; final budget reconciliation.
• Ensure compliance with inspections, codes, infection control, and safety requirements.
• Coordinate across campuses for equipment, furniture, and space operations.
• Lead staff education on construction impact and safety concerns; autonomous work.
• Collaborate with Program Controls Group to evaluate change orders and bid processes.
