Job summary

JLL is seeking a Lead Operating Engineer to supervise maintenance staff in a healthcare facility. You will manage the operating team, ensure compliance with Joint Commission standards, and train staff to expand capabilities while prioritizing safety and efficiency.

The role covers preventative maintenance, scheduling, budgeting, and overseeing contracted work to keep the facility compliant and safe.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 5+ years facility/plant engineering maintenance experience.
• Understanding of Joint Commission and regulatory surveys.
• Two years of trade schooling or apprenticeship preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise maintenance staff and coordinate service requests to minimize disruption.
• Provide hands-on training to expand operations staff capabilities and safety practices.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, schedule tasks, order parts, and manage inventory.
• Direct contracted maintenance work and track warranty obligations.
