Job summary

JLL is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer to oversee operations, maintenance, and repair of building systems. You will manage an engineering team, ensure safety, and drive cost-saving in-house maintenance solutions.

Strong leadership and hands-on expertise in HVAC, electrical, and plumbing are essential. You will supervise preventive and corrective tasks, utilize CMMS, monitor BAS, and maintain records for compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required with technical training.
• EPA/CFC license is required.
• 4+ years in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing and electrical exposure.
• Valid Tennessee Driver’s License.
• Experience with CMMS and BAS and MS Office.
• Capable of CAPA management and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility systems.
• Analyze and troubleshoot building equipment to resolve malfunctions.
• Use CMMS to manage work orders and preventive tasks.
• Lead and mentor team members across HVAC, electrical and plumbing areas.
• Monitor BAS, respond to alarms, ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain records for building rounds, safety policies, OSHA compliance.
• Conduct facility rounds and enter work orders for resolution.
• Provide excellent customer service to tenants and agencies.
• Participate in on-call rotations and after-hours coverage.
• Maintain PPE inventory and ensure a clean, safe work environment.
