Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Associate Electrical Engineer to lead healthcare electrical design efforts, mentoring teams and guiding projects from concept through construction. You will balance technical leadership with client relationship management, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality outcomes.

The role focuses on Northern California healthcare projects, driving business development, and elevating the practice while maintaining design excellence and stakeholder alignment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience delivering electrical designs in healthcare
• Experience leading complex healthcare projects and multidisciplinary teams
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to navigate stakeholder structures
• Knowledge of codes and standards (HCAI/OSHPD, NFPA, California codes)
• PE license preferred and path to licensure is an asset
• Familiarity with Lean/IPD, Design-Build, or Design-Assist delivery methods is a plus
• Proven ability to mentor engineers and project leaders

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow healthcare electrical design projects from planning through construction
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables with stakeholders
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
• Mentor and inspire teams to maintain technical excellence
• Develop and deliver project-related client presentations
