Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Principal, Healthcare Mechanical Engineering in San Francisco to lead the health sector engineering practice. You will drive business development, client relations, and strategic project leadership while growing the team and maintaining high technical standards.

You will oversee complex design and delivery of healthcare facilities, ensure regulatory compliance, and manage budgets, schedules, and collaboration across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 15+ years related professional experience is required.
• Professional Engineering license required.
• PM professional certification (PMP) a plus.
• LEED AP credential preferred.
• HFDP certification or similar healthcare design certification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the health sector engineering practice in the San Francisco area.
• Develop and implement strategic and tactical business plans for the health sector in SF/Northern California.
• Manage client relationships and procurement activities with healthcare clients.
• Oversee project delivery, quality control, and adherence to budgets and schedules.
• Mentor staff and oversee professional development and staffing needs.
