Job summary

Unity Hospice seeks a Senior Data Analyst to build and support reporting and analytics translating clinical, financial, and operational information into dashboards, reports, and actionable insights. The role also supports analytics platform development, data governance, and cross-team collaboration to strengthen patient care and operational performance.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field as listed.
Minimum 5 years of experience with corporate analytics systems supporting company-wide information initiatives.
Healthcare IT experience including Epic EHR is helpful.
Minimum 5 years with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
Minimum 5 years using analytics and visualization tools like Power BI, Qlik, Tableau.
Certified Health Data Analyst (CHDA) designation.
Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst or Tableau Certified Data Analyst.
Advanced SQL, data modeling, and database management.
Experience designing dashboards for stakeholders and decision-makers.
HIPAA and data privacy knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and ongoing support of Unity’s reporting and analytics platform.
Partner with leaders to understand data and reporting requirements.
Create and maintain dashboards, reports, and data solutions using BI tools.
Write SQL queries and work with databases to extract and analyze data.
Support data interfaces and data flows between systems.
Maintain data accuracy, security, and reliability.
Support data governance initiatives, including data standards and quality.
Collaborate with vendor partners and internal teams to improve data systems.
Analyze clinical, financial, and operational data to identify trends and improvement areas.
Use data to support leadership decision-making related to patient care and operations.
Explore AI and emerging technologies to enhance analytics.
Develop training resources to help employees use analytics tools.
Present data and findings clearly for technical and non-technical audiences.
Lead analytics projects from planning through completion.
