Job summary

Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Healthcare Data Analyst to turn vendor specs and business rules into detailed data mappings for the Enterprise Data Platform. You will liaise with business stakeholders, vendors, and tech teams to ensure accurate data integration, validation, and delivery across the analytics ecosystem.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in analytics, statistics, informatics, business, public health, or related field.
• Advanced-level skills in Microsoft Excel, SQL, Power BI, data validation, Databricks.
• Experience developing source-to-target mapping documentation, business requirements, and technical specifications.
• Ability to interpret source system documentation, file specifications, data dictionaries and requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and documentation or collaboration platforms such as SharePoint, Confluence, or similar tools.
• Experience solving business problems with data.
• Experience supporting QA, UAT, production implementation, and post-deployment validation activities.
• Experience working with healthcare, payer, claims, enrollment, provider, or other regulated data domains.

Responsibilities

• Convert vendor-provided file specifications, layouts, and business requirements into detailed data mapping documentation.
• Align source data elements with Enterprise Data Platform structures and business rules.
• Serve as liaison among business stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams for data integration.
• Support data quality and data stewardship to maintain accuracy.
• Provide data-driven conclusions and recommendations to business partners.
