Job summary

OCMI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with healthcare project experience to lead estimating efforts on one of the nation’s largest healthcare programs.

You will develop detailed cost estimates/models, oversee QA/QC, and clearly communicate cost strategies to clients and A/E consultants. You’ll mentor estimating staff, coordinate with internal stakeholders, and support business development with cost exhibits for proposals and presentations.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a cost estimating professional, preferably in consulting or for a large national GC.
• Healthcare project estimating experience (HCAI) preferred.
• Ability to interpret construction documents at all design levels (drawings/specs).
• Proficient with OST or similar takeoff software; strong Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead estimates, studies, analyses and evaluations at all project development levels.
• Provide conceptual and detailed cost estimates, takeoffs, change-order reviews, and value engineering when needed.
• Develop and present documentation with comprehensive cost estimates/models to communicate client goals.
• Mentor estimating staff and support professional growth for the team.
• Ensure QA/QC quality by following established procedures and standards.
• Communicate cost information clearly to clients and consultants.
• Source and maintain cost information from vendors; support business development with cost exhibits.
