OCMI, Inc. is seeking a Senior Cost Estimator with Mechanical and Plumbing estimating expertise to join our cost management team.

This remote role focuses on leading comprehensive estimates for large healthcare projects, conducting QA/QC, and communicating strategies to clients and A/E consultants. You will mentor staff, support BD efforts with cost exhibits, and collaborate with internal stakeholders while supporting one of the nation’s largest healthcare programs.

Competenze

• Minimum 7 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably with a large national GC or consultant, including conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering, risk mitigation.
• Mechanical and Plumbing (M/P) estimating experience is required.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specs and coordination documents including M/P disciplines.
• Proficient with On-Screen Takeoff or similar quantity takeoff software; strong Excel skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to travel intermittently.

We're excited to welcome a Senior Cost Estimator with Mechanical and Plumbing estimating experience, including experience estimating on HCAI healthcare projects, to join our team. This is a fantastic remote opportunity where you'll play a key role on our cost management/estimating team, leading comprehensive estimating efforts, overseeing quality control, clearly communicating cost strategies to clients and A/E consultants, leading reconciliations, and interacting with internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Lead estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development.
• Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary
• Develop and present a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client’s project and strategic goals
• Provide mentorship and training to estimating staff and direct reports, supporting professional growth and team performance
• Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC procedures
• Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goals
• Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information
• Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 7 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably as a consultant or for a large national general contractor, to include, but not limited to, conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, risk mitigation and management, etc. Mechanical and Plumbing (M/P) estimating experience is required.
• Prior HCAI healthcare project estimating experience required.
• Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents at all levels of design (drawings, specifications), including Mechanical and Plumbing plans, specifications, and coordination documents.
• Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software preferred.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to travel intermittently for projects and meetings with clients and project site visits.
• A bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or architecture, or 5 years minimum of applicable construction trade experience in lieu of a degree, is preferred. Mechanical or Plumbing trade experience is highly desirable.

Compensation: $170,000.00 - $200,000.00
