Job summary

Hoar is seeking a Senior Construction Project Manager to provide senior-level leadership for complex facility construction projects in Houston. You will guide project teams, ensure objective achievement, and drive profitability through effective cost control and scheduling.

You will mentor staff, manage owner contracts, oversee design changes, coordinate with clients and subcontractors, and contribute to business development through pre-qualification and pursuit activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Building Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.
• 7–10 years of extensive project management experience in large, complex facility construction.
• Advanced knowledge of budgeting, accounting and procurement for construction projects.
• Proficient in MS Office and scheduling software (Suretrak, Project, P6, Procore, Revit, VICO).
• CCM certification preferred.
• AGC/ABC, LEED AP, OSHA 10 Hour, and DBIA helpful.
• Valid Driver's License required.

Responsibilities

• Establish profitability goals and strategies to achieve them; manage internal costs.
• Manage and administer Owner contracts, ensure risks are identified and managed daily.
• Maintain and improve relationships with existing clients.
• Participate in marketing efforts and group sales planning to develop new business.
• Oversee setup and administration of all business plans, estimate adjustments, cost control and reporting.
• Prepare and submit monthly status reports and cost projections, review for accuracy in coding and processing of invoices.
• Ensure regular progress meetings are held to identify and track action items and deliverables.
• Assist with pre-qualification for bidders, develop and solicit responses to RFPs/RFQ's, assist owner in selecting delivery method.
• Oversee the change management process; review change orders before sending to owner and stakeholders.
• Oversee projects through to close out; manage schedules, submittals, RFIs, and reporting.
• Assist with development and review of cost estimates; ensure estimates are prepared at appropriate design stages.
• Develop industry relationships to generate future sales opportunities.
• Oversee the work of assistant project managers and deliver training for staff.
