Job summary

University of California - San Francisco is seeking a Senior Project Manager to oversee multiple capital projects ranging from $50,000 to $500 million. The role ensures on-schedule delivery, budget adherence, and quality, with FF&E, procurement, activation, occupancy, and closeout responsibilities.

The Sr. PM leads diverse teams including architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, IT, clinical users, and regulatory agencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in managing construction or renovation projects, preferably in hospital or clinical environments.
• Advanced knowledge of building codes and construction contracts, including CA Building Codes.
• Advanced project management skills for highly complex projects.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and negotiation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from planning to closeout, including FF&E, procurement, and activation.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across architects, engineers, contractors, vendors, and clinical users.
• Develop and manage equipment budgets, schedules, and procurement plans.
• Review design documents for functionality, infection prevention and life-safety requirements.
• Maintain accurate project schedules, budgets, forecasts and reporting.
• Apply LEAN practices to improve project delivery and foster collaboration.
