Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Project Management Analyst to support design and construction of capital projects, including renovations and new facilities. The role involves collecting and analyzing technical data, preparing cost estimates, and ensuring adherence to policies and project timelines.

You will collaborate with Finance, Supply Chain, Facilities, and external consultants to monitor budgets, develop dashboards, and drive projects from concept to closeout.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related area and 1–3 years of relevant experience in a complex university or large institutional setting.
• Ability to monitor project budgets, evaluate vendor estimates, and review payment requests.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for clear reporting.
• Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating with contractors and stakeholders.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to proof contracts and other documents.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team while handling multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Support capital project management from initial scoping through project closeout.
• Collect, develop and analyze data to define project requirements and cost estimates.
• Prepare information on specifications, materials and equipment, costs and timelines.
• Support budget and cost control, and create project dashboards and reports.
• Coordinate with UCSF departments and external consultants and contractors while following university policies.
