SPC Co. in New York is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to lead occupational health and safety programs, analyze trends and ensure compliance across mega projects. You will provide technical expertise, conduct safety orientations and review procedures to promote a safe working environment.

This senior role requires a Bachelor’s in Health & Safety and 15+ years in construction or safety with 10+ years leading teams, driving compliant risk mitigation and training for project staff.

Formación

• Bachelor’s Degree in Health & Safety or related field required or preferred.
• 15+ years’ experience in construction or safety.
• 10+ years’ experience managing construction or safety teams.
• Proven leadership skills with clear communication to reports and stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring safety professionals and building a balanced internal team.
• Ability to provide training and safety knowledge to construction teams.
• Identify onsite safety risks and develop compliant mitigation strategies.
• Expert knowledge of construction site equipment, methods and processes.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and upcoming agency regulations.

Responsabilidades

• Oversees safety program and procedures for a single large project or multiple projects within the same District.
• Performs project site trend analysis and tracks incidents and safety events.
• Develops and conducts safety orientations, trainings and toolbox talks.
• Ensures permits and certifications are active, documented and tracked.
• Provides technical safety support for training, equipment needs and inspections.
• Oversees equipment maintenance and procurement for safety needs.
• Provides project status and trend analysis to management and teams.
• Oversees injury reporting, investigations and corrective actions.
• Reviews and approves Daily Hazard Analysis and participates in JHA discussions.
• Creates and approves worksite safety and evacuation plans; supports emergency planning.
