Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking an experienced Senior Research Analyst to support health services research and biostatistics. Depending on qualifications, placement at Senior Research Analyst II level may be considered.

This remote position requires strong statistical programming and health policy research skills. The role involves designing analytical approaches, mentoring junior analysts, preparing papers, and presenting results to diverse audiences.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.)
• Progressively more responsible statistical programming experience
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (survival analysis)
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and analytical approaches for health care
• Strong oral/written communication with diverse audiences, including sponsors and policy makers
• Strong mentoring skills possibly including supervisory or teaching experience
• Demonstrated Arbor Research project/contract expertise
• Ability to run/lead subprojects with little to no intervention
• Contributions to field of health services research, biostatistics, or epidemiology; demonstrated by peer-reviewed publications
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Work with lead investigators to coordinate research development and ensure timely completion of assignments
• Contribute to design of analytical approaches for specific research questions
• Adhere to strategies and tools to ensure accuracy, programming, and documentation standards
• Independently accomplish a wide variety of analytical requests, including writing papers for journals and data analyses for funders
• Prepare medical and statistical research papers and presentations for epidemiologic and health policy research
• Assist authors with preparing tables and figures for written materials
• Present results clearly in public forums to biostatisticians and clinicians
• Attend committee meetings, conference calls, and national/international conferences
• Contribute to writing and production of proposals for new projects
• Develop SAS code for analyses and verify accuracy of coding
• Provide mentoring to junior analysts to assist with analyses
• Lead analytic approaches while consulting with Principal Investigators
• Show a strong desire to improve skills/knowledge
• Collaborate with external investigators
