Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Senior Research Analyst-level professional to coordinate research development and design analytical approaches for health policy studies. Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.).
• Demonstrated history of progressively more responsible statistical programming experience.
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (i.e., conducting survival analysis).
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and substantial knowledge in analytical approaches for health care.
• Strong oral/written communication skills with a wide variety of audiences, including sponsors and policy makers.
• Strong mentoring skills possibly including supervisory or teaching experience.
• Demonstrated Arbor Research project/contract expertise.
• Ability to run/lead subprojects with little to no intervention.
• Contributions to field of health services research, biostatistics, or epidemiology; demonstrated by a combination of peer-reviewed publications and written reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research development with lead investigators to ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Contribute significantly to the design of analytical approaches for specific research questions.
• Adhere to coding and documentation standards with checks and reviews to ensure accuracy.
• Independently accomplish a wide range of analytical requests and prepare journal papers.
• Prepare medical and statistical research papers and presentations in support of epidemiologic research.
• Assist authors with preparing tables and figures for inclusion in manuscripts.
• Present results clearly in public forums to biostatisticians and clinicians.
• Attend committee meetings, conference calls, and national/international conferences.
• Contribute to writing and production of proposals for new projects.
• Develop SAS code for analyses and verify accuracy of coding.
• Provide significant mentoring to junior analysts to implement statistical analyses.
• Lead analytic approaches while consulting with Principal Investigators.
