Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.)
• Progressively more responsible statistical programming experience
• At least 4 years of professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (e.g., survival analysis)
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and analytical methods in health care
• Strong oral/written communication with diverse audiences
• Mentoring skills including supervisory or teaching experience
• Experience with Arbor Research projects/contracts
• Ability to run/lead subprojects with minimal intervention
• Contributions to health services research/biostatistics/epidemiology; peer-reviewed pubs or reports
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research development with lead investigators and ensure timely completion of assignments
• Design analytical approaches for specific research questions
• Adhere to established analysis, programming, and documentation standards
• Complete analytical requests and prepare papers for journals and funding bodies
• Prepare medical and statistical research papers and presentations
• Assist authors with tables and figures for manuscripts
• Present results in public forums to biostatisticians and clinicians
• Attend committee meetings and conferences
• Contribute to proposal writing and project development
• Develop SAS code for analyses and verify coding accuracy
• Mentor junior analysts and help select/methodologize analyses
• Mentor junior Research Analysts and support project objectives
• Lead analytic approaches in consultation with Principal Investigators
• Demonstrate ongoing skill/knowledge improvement
• Collaborate with external investigators
