Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health is seeking a Senior Research Analyst for a remote-capable role. The position reports to a Research Scientist or Senior Research Scientist and involves designing analyses, mentoring junior analysts, and presenting findings.

Candidates should hold a Master’s or PhD in a quantitative field and have 4+ years of statistical programming experience, with SAS expertise and health services research background preferred. 40 hours/week.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, etc.).
• Progressively more responsible statistical programming experience.
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (e.g., survival analysis).
• Strong understanding of statistical concepts and analytical approaches in health care.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across diverse audiences.
• Strong mentoring skills, possibly supervisory or teaching experience.
• Experience with Arbor Research projects/contracts.
• Ability to lead subprojects with minimal supervision.
• Contributions to health services research, epidemiology, or biostatistics; publications/reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with lead investigators to coordinate research development and ensure timely completion of assignments.
• Contribute to the design of analytical approaches for specific research questions.
• Adhere to established analytics, programming, and documentation standards (e.g., code reviews, checklists).
• Complete a wide range of analytical requests and write papers for journals or funders.
• Prepare medical and statistical research papers and presentations.
• Assist authors with tables and figures for written materials.
• Present results to biostatisticians and clinicians; represent Arbor Research publicly.
• Attend committee meetings, calls, and national/international conferences.
• Contribute to writing and production of project proposals.
• Develop SAS code for analyses and verify coding accuracy.
• Mentor junior analysts and guide methodological approaches.
• Lead analytic approaches in consultation with Principal Investigators.
• Demonstrate ongoing commitment to skill/knowledge improvement.
• Collaborate with external investigators.
