Job summary

Arbor Research Collaborative for Health in the United States seeks a Senior Research Analyst II to lead and support epidemiologic and health policy analyses. Remote work is available.

You will design analytic approaches, mentor junior analysts, prepare papers and presentations, and present results to biostatisticians, clinicians, and sponsors, collaborating with investigators across projects.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a quantitative field (Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, Economics, Public Health, Public Policy, etc.).
• Progressively responsible statistical programming experience.
• At least 4 years professional experience with statistical software, SAS preferred (i.e., conducting survival analysis).
• Excellent understanding of statistical concepts and substantial knowledge in analytical approaches for health care.
• Strong oral/written communication skills with a wide variety of audiences, including sponsors and policy makers.
• Strong mentoring skills possibly including supervisory or teaching experience.
• Demonstrated Arbor Research project/contract expertise.
• Ability to run/lead subprojects with little to no intervention.
• Contributions to field of health services research, biostatistics, or epidemiology; demonstrated by a combination of peer-reviewed publications and written reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate research development with lead investigators to ensure timely completion.
• Contribute to design of analytical approaches for research questions.
• Maintain accuracy, programming, and documentation standards using tools and reviews.
• Complete a wide range of analytical requests, write papers, and support funding analyses.
• Prepare medical and statistical papers and presentations for health policy research.
• Assist authors with tables and figures for written materials.
• Present results in public forums to biostatisticians and clinicians, representing Arbor Research.
• Attend committee meetings, calls, and conferences.
• Contribute to writing and proposals for new projects.
• Develop SAS code for analyses and verify coding accuracy.
• Mentor junior analysts and guide methodological approaches.
• Lead analytic approaches with Principal Investigators.
• Demonstrate a desire to improve skills and knowledge.
• Work with external investigators.
