Job summary

The Gilbert Bain Hospital in Shetland is seeking a Health Records and Clinical Coding Manager for a full-time role (36 hours/week). The post sits within the Elective Services Team and reports to the Planned Care Operational Manager, offering leadership across health records and coding functions.

The successful candidate will hold a relevant degree and demonstrate senior-level informatics and business administration experience, with strong communication and leadership skills to drive service

• Experience at a senior level in informatics and business administration.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive health records service and lead development of new technology aligned with eHealth strategy.
• Support Health Records and Reception Team Leaders and provide staff training.
• Report to the Planned Care Operational Manager as part of the Elective Services Team.
