Job summary

Catholic Health Initiatives seeks a Senior Health Information Management (HIM) Specialist to uphold the integrity and availability of patient health records across the medical record lifecycle. You will ensure HIPAA compliance and support providers in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Daily duties include advanced HIM functions, document imaging, chart analysis, and resolving data integrity issues to keep the Master Patient Index accurate, while managing ROI requests and record completion

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years HIM experience in acute care or healthcare setting.
Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred; RHIT/RHIA preferred.
Knowledge of HIPAA privacy laws and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

Maintain integrity, accuracy, and availability of patient health records throughout the medical record lifecycle.
Perform imaging, complex chart analysis, and resolve data integrity issues to ensure Master Patient Index accuracy.
Manage record completion processes and reconcile rejected orders.
Support release of information (ROI) requests while meeting productivity and quality standards.
