Job summary

Republic Services in the United States is seeking an ES Field Technician III to perform emergency response and hazardous and non-hazardous spill cleanup, lead teams, and operate heavy equipment in challenging environments.

You will follow safety policies, read and interpret SDS, train others, and maintain records while delivering reliable service under minimal supervision. The role demands physical stamina and CDL with tanker endorsement preferred.

Qualifications

• Able to read, write and comprehend safety and operations instructions.
• Understand safety data sheets and mitigate chemical hazards.
• Willing to lead and mentor teammates when needed.
• Adhere to safety policies and demonstrate resilience.
• Proficient with tablets/PCs for record-keeping.
• Experience with light and heavy equipment relevant to cleanup.

Responsibilities

• Performs tank cleaning, oil spill cleanup, and hazmat decontamination.
• Responds to spills and emergencies during and after hours.
• Maintains equipment and site housekeeping.
• Operates roll-off, vacuum trucks, forklifts, and related gear.
• Completes pre-trip and post-trip DOT inspections and logs.
• Presents information to management and customers; ensures safety compliance.
• Maintains daily reports and regulatory documentation as needed.
