Job summary

Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, seeks a seasoned Hardware Lead for the ATS team to drive hardware design for next-gen ATC and Weather Data reporting systems. This senior role demands deep hardware engineering expertise across COTS and custom designs, with emphasis on performance, reliability, and security.

You will guide cross-functional teams, oversee full lifecycle development, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring on-time delivery and budget adherence in a hybrid work environment.

Qualifications

• Typically requires STEM degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 5+ years.
• Proven track record leading hardware development from concept to production while managing budgets and schedules.
• U.S. citizenship is required to access information under these programs/contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design and development for COTS-based ATC programs with emphasis on performance, reliability, and security.
• Collaborate with Software, Systems, and Quality to deliver integrated solutions meeting customer requirements.
• Oversee the hardware lifecycle from concept through production and deployment within schedule and budget constraints.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
• Oversee rigorous testing and validation to ensure compliance with standards and customer specifications.
• Interface with Program Management and stakeholders to gather requirements and report progress.
