Job summary

RTX, Collins Aerospace, Marlborough site, is seeking a hardware-focused engineer to identify components, perform trade studies, and drive hardware design across the lifecycle. You will conduct bench and system tests, develop documentation, and mentor junior engineers within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Requires a STEM degree and 5+ years of experience or an advanced degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Experience creating technical documentation for Configuration Control, Change Management, Trade Studies, and design artifacts.
• Experience developing detailed verification test plans and test reports.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a multi-functional environment.

Responsibilities

• Identify replacement hardware components and perform trade studies to meet program requirements.
• Execute preliminary and detailed hardware design activities.
• Conduct device-level bench testing and system-level integration testing for Engineering Change Proposals.
• Develop and review technical documentation across the product lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers throughout the development cycle.
• Collaborate with Configuration Management, Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, and Supply Chain.
• Lead small teams of hardware development engineers for ECPs when opportunities arise.
