Job summary

Collins Aerospace, part of RTX, seeks an experienced Principal Systems Engineer for the ATS ATC program in Marlborough, MA or Omaha, NE. You will provide technical direction to software and test teams, perform system analyses, and define interfaces and verification activities to replace aging weather systems with Next Generation Weather solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree
• Experience with Red Hat Linux 9.x and with design, integration and test of complex systems
• Experience delivering technical documentation to stakeholders (drafting, reviewing, updating)
• Experience with automated test tools and testing at customer sites
• Willingness to travel domestically for short durations
• U.S. citizenship or eligibility for access; FAA clearance capability

Responsibilities

• Perform system integration and test activities for development, maintenance, and deployment
• Manage and generate system engineering documentation (design memos, specs, diagrams, ICDs, test plans)
• Develop data analysis tools and perform data analyses
• Make informed technical decisions to drive project success
• Conduct trade studies and recommend technology insertions to advance capabilities
• Plan and document formal qualification tests
• Estimate engineering effort for tasks and projects
• Assist other engineers with system engineering issues
