Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a hardware-focused engineer to join the AWS EC2 Networking and Outpost hardware team.

You will help build high-performance server hardware for the world's largest cloud infrastructure, leading design from concept to production in a fast-paced, startup-like culture within AWS. You will interface with vendors, ODM/JDM teams, and internal customers to ensure scalable, reliable hardware at edge and data center scales.

Qualifications

• BS degree in EE, CE, or CS.
• 5+ years of experience with complex server, storage or network server designs.
• 5+ years of experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans, functional test procedures and operational repair plans.
• 5+ years of experience with debug and root cause analysis of PCIe, memory, storage subsystems or networking.
• 3+ years of advanced support experience managing customer escalations to quickly identify root cause and resolve issues in a large scale production environment.

Responsibilities

• Solve systemic issues and drive changes back into development.
• Build mechanisms to scale and efficiently operate infrastructure at the Edge and Data Center.
• Interface with internal/external customers to understand project requirements and facilitate system development on server design.
• Work with vendors and ODM/JDM design teams to develop and manufacture products at scale.
