Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Hardware Engineering Services (HWEngS) is seeking a Senior Cloud Hardware Development Engineer to architect, design, and build next‑generation servers and hardware components for AWS data centers.

You will lead cross‑functional teams, integrate hardware/software, and scale our fleet, working with ODMs/JDMs, service control plane, and data center operations to deliver high‑quality servers at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent, or 5+ years of relevant technical position experience.
• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field is preferred.
• Experience developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures.
• Experience leading ODMs and other suppliers in product development and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with server level design for compute, storage, accelerator segments or other complex product design.

Responsibilities

• Bring new technology to our server and products and scale our fleet.
• Collaborate with internal development teams and external suppliers to deliver new servers with leading performance and quality.
• Establish strategic vision and drive execution in defining and delivering new products and services.
• Lead integration and delivery of servers and support automated monitoring and failure analysis services.
• Work with AWS software teams to tailor and operate server solutions for the AWS environment.
