Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a HW Board and System Design Engineer for Edge and Access routing products.

You will drive hardware design from architecture through bring-up, qualification, and readiness for production, collaborating closely with software, diagnostics, and manufacturing teams. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in hardware board design, experience with x86/ARM processors, and familiarity with DDR4/DDR5 memory, PCIe, SATA, and USB.

Qualifications

BSEE or MSEE with 7+ years of experience in hardware board design and development.
Prior experience of taking a design from concept to production.
Prior experience in designing with x86 and/or ARM processors.
Prior experience in designing with DDR4/DDR5 memory, PCIe, SATA, USB.
Experience in schematic capture tools like Cadence Allegro Design Entry HDL (Concept HDL).

Responsibilities

Participate and contribute to the system hardware design.
Contribute to hardware specification, design, development, and test.
Work under department strategy and direction.
Work closely with software, diagnostics, manufacturing, marketing, EDVT, and MDVT test teams throughout the development process.
